Shipping, returns and privacy

Engraving takes 48 to 72 hours once you approve the proof. Transit is one to three business days in Québec and Ontario, three to seven elsewhere in Canada.

Shipping is a flat $20 anywhere in Canada, whatever the order is worth. Around Montréal we deliver by hand at no charge on orders over $90.

Rush service is $25 and moves your piece to the front of the queue, engraved within 24 hours of proof approval. It does not speed up the courier.

We ship within Canada only. For anywhere else, email us and we will quote it.

We email a photo of the finished engraving before anything ships. Nothing leaves the workshop until you have seen it.

If the proof is wrong, reply and we redo it — as many times as it takes, at no charge. If we engrave something different from the approved proof, we remake the piece and cover the return shipping.

If the proof was approved with a typo in it, tell us anyway. We would rather recut a board than have a client hand over a gift with a misspelled name on it.

Before you approve the proof, you can cancel for a full refund. Nothing has been cut yet, so there is nothing lost. Email us and we will refund the whole amount.

Once you approve the proof, the order cannot be refunded. Approving is what tells us to put your piece on the machine, and a board with someone else's name on it cannot be sold to anybody. This is why we send the photo and ask you to check the spelling — take your time over it, and tell us about anything that looks wrong before you say yes.

That does not apply to anything that is our fault. We remake or refund in full if the piece arrives damaged, if what we engraved does not match the proof you approved, or if there is a defect in the wood. Send a photo within 14 days of delivery and we will sort it out.

If you spot a mistake after approving but before it ships, tell us anyway. If it has not gone on the machine we will change it, and if it has we will talk about what we can do.

Unengraved blank boards can be returned unused within 14 days for a refund less shipping.

We collect only what an order needs: your name, email, phone, shipping address, and whatever you type onto the board. Payment happens on Square's own checkout page — we never see or hold your card number.

Artwork you upload is stored so we can engrave it, and kept on file for reorders unless you ask us to delete it. Brokerage crests are used only for your orders.

We use Square for payments, Resend for email, and Vercel to host the site and count page views. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

Marketing email only goes to people who ticked the box asking for it, as CASL requires. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is instant. Ask us to delete your details and we will, apart from what tax law requires us to keep on past invoices.
